LUN study: Ukrainian women take longer to save for a house than men
To buy a one-bedroom apartment in Kyiv, men need to save for an average of 6.4 years of salary, while women need 8.5 years.
The reason is the wage gap: women's salaries are still about 20% lower than men's.
In some cities, the gap is even more pronounced. For example, in Rivne, women need about 3.5 more years to save for a house than men.
