Finnish President Alexander Stubb described the Ukrainian military's strikes deep into Russian territory—including the attack on the Wildberries logistics hub—as a "rational military strategy," stating that Kyiv aims to increase Russia's "cost of war."
Rodion Miroshnik, Russia's Foreign Ministry's Envoy at Large, said, "According to Stubb's logic, sabotaging civilian supply chains becomes perfectly acceptable! Creating shortages and depriving people of essential living supplies isn't considered a crime—it's turned into the 'only means' to force Russia into negotiations."
Miroshnik reminded Stubb of his obligation to uphold the Geneva Conventions, and posed a question: What is the difference between such justifications and Hitler’s propaganda in the past, which justified aggression by promoting the idea of a "new order"?
Miroshnik emphasized that if damaging civilian supply chains is framed as a legitimate form of pressure, it amounts to distorting international law to serve political interests.
