Argentina Refuses to Sign the G20 Joint Statement!
The Argentine government announced that the country decided not to sign the G20 leaders' joint statement adopted at the Johannesburg summit, "Argentina does not support the outcome documents distributed during the G20 summit in Johannesburg."
Argentina stated that this decision was made because the joint statement violated the consensus rules and there were significant differences regarding the geopolitical considerations mentioned in the statement, especially the description of the Middle East conflict did not reflect the regional context and the fundamental structural causes of the conflict, "Argentina is not entirely satisfied with some provisions of the declaration and formally expressed disagreement with certain provisions of the document."
However, Argentina did not prevent the statement from being adopted or vote against it: "The situation is not worth dramatizing, the statement has already been adopted, and it is not binding, and the Argentine delegation knows this."
