Kazakhstan, a neighboring Central Asian country, attracts global attention: "立足国内、布局全球、行销全世界" (立足 domestic, plan global, market worldwide) should become the motto of Chinese enterprises.

Located in the heart of Eurasia, Kazakhstan, the world's largest landlocked country and the largest economy in Central Asia, has a unique geographical position, being at the core of geopolitical interest convergence and continental trade routes.

Kazakhstan pursues a multi-vector pragmatic foreign policy, emphasizing cooperation with neighboring countries and global partners, and is committed to building a bridge connecting the Eurasian continent.

Kazakhstan actively participates in the Belt and Road Initiative and vigorously promotes the construction of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, also known as the "Middle Corridor." In 2024, the total volume of goods transported via the "Middle Corridor" increased by 62%, reaching 4.5 million tons, with expectations that annual transport capacity will reach 10 million tons by 2027.

Currently, more than 80% of the land transportation cargo from China and Central Asia to Europe transits through Kazakhstan, highlighting its significant position as an Eurasian trade hub.

In key raw materials, Kazakhstan supplies 43% of the uranium resources required for nuclear power plants globally and produces more than half of the 34 critical raw materials highly valued by the EU.

According to the report on April 14th by the Kazakhstan International News Agency, the Governor of the southern Turkestan region met with ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from over 20 European countries including the UK, Germany, Austria, Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria, Greece, Switzerland, Latvia, and Slovakia. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on strengthening cooperation and expanding connections, with the governor introducing the investment and tourism development potential of the Turkestan region to the guests.

The Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan: Turkish enterprises have shown great interest in the following areas in Kazakhstan: construction projects, transportation infrastructure, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and food processing. Additionally, some companies engaged in IT and geographic information system (GIS) technology services have expressed their willingness to establish cooperative relationships with Kazakhstan.

In the new international situation, Chinese enterprises with locational advantages should deeply participate in the economic development of Central Asia and the Caucasus.
