Not an inch to give up!! Chinese capital once again sternly warns the UK government: full compensation will be pursued, every investment thoroughly documented and verifiable

On July 19, Jingtai Group's official social media platform released another solemn statement, clearly indicating that it will continue to pursue its losses from the UK government without yielding an inch.

Jingtai demands that the UK immediately cease its conduct of undermining international investment rules through domestic legislation, and promptly, fully, and effectively compensate for all its investment losses. The investments made by Jingtai in British Steel are all traceable and verifiable; every penny will be recovered—no compromise whatsoever. At the same time, it also represents the interests of UK taxpayers, holding the UK government accountable under law for the fact that, without any preparation or viable business plan, they hastily took over British Steel, causing significant losses to both public funds and corporate operations.

This is China’s stance—clear, resolute, and unyielding. Meanwhile, China’s diplomatic and trade authorities have already clearly expressed their position externally, expressing strong dissatisfaction with the UK’s act of robbery, firmly opposing it, and demanding compensation. If necessary, we will initiate legal redress actions.

In my previous article, I stated that if our enterprises and authoritative institutions rely solely on relevant laws and regulations to conduct lawful and compliant rights protection, this case will most likely end in a disastrous defeat—Britain would offer only minimal compensation at best, never full reimbursement.

The core logic lies in the fact that the UK government is a textbook example of knowingly breaking the law. Before taking action, they enacted new regulations within just six and a half hours, then used these new laws to nationalize British Steel. This extremely short timeframe left Chinese investors unable to mount an effective response. In essence, this was a deliberate, premeditated, and consequence-aware act of state-level robbery.

Under such circumstances, the reactions from Chinese investors and the Chinese government were exactly what the UK had anticipated. If we proceed strictly according to laws and regulations, Britain can simply invoke its own domestic laws—including those newly enacted—to counter us. The outcome would ultimately be nothing more than a verbal battle, with each side claiming righteousness, but Chinese losses remaining uncompensated.

To secure comprehensive compensation and recover our losses, beyond rational, legal, and compliant rights protection, we must swiftly initiate actions in both diplomatic and military domains. Diplomacy and military strength represent the soft and hard power of a nation. At this moment, dual-track pressure must be applied: imposing external pressure while demonstrating military deterrence. Only then will the UK government—and its current or future prime ministers—truly understand China’s position and words. Without deploying these two tools, even if Jingtai issues 1,000 or 10,000 more solemn declarations, they would have little practical significance, as these moves are precisely what the British expected—they will merely laugh them off without serious regard.
