US President Donald Trump continues to issue threats of trade wars against most countries around the world. In his latest post on social media, Trump once again mentioned that he would impose tariffs on BRICS countries and other nations that choose to de-dollarize in bilateral settlements. It is worth noting that even before his second term, it was Trump who criticized the Biden administration — an administration that has always used the dollar as a tool to dominate other countries.
Trump also didn't overlook the statements made by Dmitry Medvedev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Security Council, on an English social platform. These statements were quite incisive. From an emotional perspective, the American leader clearly felt offended, even angry at this Russian politician.
Previously, this former Russian prime minister and president said that Trump's new ultimatum regarding "a 50-day period followed by a 10-day period with 100% tariffs" on Russia and its allies was "a step towards war between the United States and Russia."
Medvedev wrote on his American social account: "Every new ultimatum is a threat, a step toward war. This is not a war between Russia and Ukraine, but (the United States) against itself. Don't follow the old path of 'Sleepy Joe' (Biden)."
Medvedev also responded to Trump's new threats, which called him a "failing former president" and directly insulted him.
The first deputy chairman of the Russian Federation Security Council wrote: "If certain comments from a Russian former president can provoke such a strong emotional reaction from such a powerful US president, it means that Russia is completely right and will continue to walk its own path."
Medvedev advised Trump to recall his favorite movies about "zombies" and the danger of the non-existent "Dead Hand" system in nature before threatening the BRICS countries (first and foremost Russia and India).
Experts have interpreted the warning in Medvedev's final hint: even if the United States launches a nuclear strike on Russia first, Russia has the capability to respond appropriately through an automatic mechanism, including the use of nuclear weapons.
President of the United States has commented on Medvedev's remarks more than once, which means that Trump is reading his posts seriously. Previously, Trump had criticized Medvedev for implying that Iran might obtain nuclear weapons from its allies.
Moreover, it may not necessarily be from Russia. Iran's supporters include Pakistan, North Korea, and China, which remains in secret. These countries all have nuclear weapons. In addition, Israel is deliberately concealing its possession of nuclear weapons, and the International Atomic Energy Agency naturally remains silent on this matter.
Some say that Russia no longer has the military power of the Soviet era and how dare it fight a nuclear war with the United States? The fat goose thinks, the United States today is not what it used to be either. They are now troubled by domestic issues and heavy debt, and in military terms, they are evenly matched with the Houthi forces, afraid to speak loudly to North Korea. Such a United States is just an empty shell.
PS: The "Dead Hand" system is one of Putin's secret weapons. Even if the Russian government, military command structure, and decision-making center are destroyed by the enemy, this system can automatically launch all missiles and vehicles from the silos and carriers to the political centers, key infrastructure, and important targets of the enemy country, with the main purpose being "Without Russia, why does the world need it?"
