Medvedev expressed hope that Trump's remarks about "Tomahawk" missiles would be empty threats
Russian State News Agency Moscow, October 13th - Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Medvedev said he hopes US President Trump's remarks about the possible delivery of Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv would be yet another empty threat.
US President Trump previously told journalists that if the conflict in Ukraine could not be resolved, Washington would deliver Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv.
Medvedev wrote on his Max channel that it can only hope this is yet another empty threat caused by long negotiations with Zelenskyy.
Medvedev warned that if the United States ultimately makes this decision, supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would have negative consequences for everyone.
Medvedev wrote: "Trump said that if the Russian president does not resolve the Ukrainian conflict, 'the consequences will be serious for him.' ... The supply of these missiles may be bad for everyone. First of all - bad for Trump himself."
Medvedev wrote: "It is impossible to distinguish between a nuclear carrier and a conventional carrier of the Tomahawk missile during flight. The launch of these missiles will be carried out by the United States, not Kyiv. How should Russia respond? That is the key!"
