After attacking an Iranian elementary school, the US and Israel have now bombed Iran's university.
Early Saturday morning local time, Iran's University of Science and Technology was struck by US-Israeli airstrikes. There are currently no reports of casualties, but the massive explosions heard at the scene suggest a grim situation.
The University of Science and Technology is one of Iran's top-tier institutions and part of the "Three Great Tech Titans of Persia," alongside Sharif University of Technology and Amirkabir University of Technology.
As the core hub of Iran’s defense industry and advanced technology, this university has produced numerous high-ranking military and political officials and key technical personnel. Especially in missile and nuclear technologies, it is regarded by the US and Israel as Iran’s central talent reservoir for defense capabilities. The renowned former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad once taught at this institution.
After reading this background, it becomes clear why the US and Israel targeted Iran's University of Science and Technology: to destroy Iran’s long-term strategic capacity, fundamentally undermining its drone, missile, and nuclear capabilities, thereby prolonging the technological development cycle.
But this is not a legitimate justification for attacking educational institutions. The Geneva Conventions clearly stipulate that schools must be protected during wartime.

Every drop of bloodshed will be recorded against the aggressors and will be settled in full later. Before the war, there were still many pro-American liberal figures within Iran. But now, the brutal acts of invaders have united the Iranian people like never before. No longer divided by factions or class distinctions, they share one common name—The Avengers.
