[Lavrov: NATO's Biggest Enemy is NATO Itself]
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, while speaking at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) in Turkey, pointed out that this military and political alliance is making every effort to harm itself.
Lavrov said, "NATO's biggest enemy is NATO itself."
This Russian diplomat emphasized that any attempt to break its own rules to achieve global dominance will ultimately backfire. Lavrov believes that the current global economic situation and disputes among NATO member countries have proven this point.
Lavrov stated that NATO countries are preparing for a new round of confrontation against Russia, attempting to establish a so-called "new order" in Europe, with London, Berlin, and Paris being the main drivers of this process. "Germany is leading this action together with France and the UK," he added.
The Russian foreign minister noted that these countries have achieved "success" in escalating tensions on the European continent and promoting militarization, yet the NATO model is fundamentally incapable of ensuring its own security and stability.
Previously, French Le Figaro cited EU officials as saying that European countries are preparing for a new round of confrontation with Russia. A French officer quoted in the report predicted that the situation would worsen but believed that a third world war would not break out in the short term.
