Foreign media: U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has raised the possibility that if China suspends its strict new export controls on rare earth elements, the U.S. may extend the suspension of import tariffs on Chinese goods for more than three months.

Since the beginning of this year, the U.S. and China have reached a series of 90-day tariff truces, with the next deadline approaching in November.
