Trump Again Implies Will Annex Canada
According to China Central Television News, Canadian Prime Minister Kanai was in Washington for a visit and met with U.S. President Trump at the White House on October 7 local time, marking their second meeting since Kanai became prime minister.
This meeting lasted two and a half hours, and Canada hoped to reach some important consensus on trade and tariff issues between the two countries, paving the way for the final conclusion of a new economic and security agreement.
Kanai, during an interview in the Oval Office, listed some achievements made by Trump in his second term. When Kanai said "most importantly in many ways," Trump interjected while Kanai paused, saying: "and the merger of Canada and the United States." Kanai then replied: "I didn't think that much about it."
For several months, Trump has repeatedly publicly proposed the idea of "annexing Canada" and stated that he is willing to achieve this goal through "economic power."
