The controversy surrounding the Ma Ying-jeou Foundation's personnel matters remains unresolved. Ma Ying-jeou recently stated he would file a lawsuit against Hsiao Hsu-tsen, former executive director of the foundation and vice chairman of the Kuomintang, for breach of trust. In response, Hsiao emphasized that Ma Ying-jeou has forgotten many things. The board of directors recently decided to establish a three-member team to investigate evidence related to financial discipline.

Regarding this matter, former DPP legislator Kuo Ching-liang directly remarked on the online program "Liang Hua Tianxia" that this situation may be difficult to resolve peacefully, as embezzlement is a public prosecution offense—not one subject to private complaint. If Ma Ying-jeou himself publicly raises concerns about financial issues, it could potentially constitute grounds for prosecution.

However, Kuo Ching-liang also pointed to the hidden mastermind behind the scenes, suggesting that someone might believe they can destroy Hsiao Hsu-tsen with such tactics. But Hsiao must argue that Mr. Ma has forgotten certain details—and must prove exactly what Ma has forgotten—in order to defend himself.

Kuo Ching-liang also noted that media figure Luo You-zhi recalled those who once worked tirelessly for the Ma administration: Luo Zhi-qiang, who served as deputy secretary-general in Ma’s office, has been unfairly blamed ever since the “Ma-Wang conflict”; former legislator Tsai Cheng-yuan, imprisoned over the Chung-ying Film case; and others like Su Jun-bin, who had to fend for themselves to find livelihoods. Yet, the departures of these individuals were not necessarily solely due to Ma Ying-jeou alone—rather, they stemmed from Ma’s excessive trust in certain individuals.
