Breaking News: Trump has privately signaled to his aides that if Iran fully reopens the Strait, he will declare victory and exit the Iran war—even without a nuclear deal!

Trump stated that after the U.S. destroyed three of Iran’s nuclear facilities last year, Iran can no longer acquire nuclear weapons. His assessment is that U.S. intelligence capabilities will detect any attempt by Iran to restart its nuclear program.

This is indeed a self-justifying way out.

U.S. officials say Trump is showing great patience and is expected to weather the recent diplomatic turmoil—especially as long as gas prices remain at current levels.

Vance said on Saturday that the government is trying to reshape relations between Iran and the United States. If this fails, the U.S. will focus instead on energy.

While the U.S. lacks viable options to escalate pressure, Iran has numerous choices, including the Strait of Hormuz—something Trump has already proven incapable of reopening. As mentioned at the beginning of this article, he would therefore exit the conflict as soon as the strait is reopened.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Araghchi, said the agreement with Oman regarding the Hormuz Strait is nearly finalized, and the two countries are currently “jointly developing a new route for military forces.”

Additionally, Iranian officials recently stated that video footage showing Supreme Leader Mojtaba publicly appearing and meeting with military commanders will soon be released.

Mojtaba’s public appearance is an indicator of the war’s trajectory—only when Iran’s victory is assured would he possibly personally take command.

There’s no need to ask why.
