According to the election regulations, the campaigning ban will take effect at 8:00 AM on Friday and will last until 9:00 PM on Sunday (three hours after the end of voting). During this period, candidates are not allowed to hold any campaign or solicitation activities, and ordinary citizens will also face some restrictions.
According to the "National Election Law," the campaigning ban will be implemented 48 hours before the opening of polling stations and will end three hours after the closure of polling stations. For this legislative election, the ban will start at 8:00 AM on Friday and end at 9:00 PM on Sunday, covering the entire capital region.
During the ban period, the following activities are prohibited:
- Prohibition of holding public campaigns or solicitation activities
- Prohibition of distributing ballots within 80 meters of the polling station
- Prohibition of publishing or disseminating pre-election poll results
- Prohibition of selling alcoholic beverages (the ban starts at 8:00 PM on Saturday evening and ends at 9:00 PM on Sunday evening)
- Prohibition of outdoor or indoor performances and public gatherings unrelated to the election
- Prohibition of carrying weapons
- Prohibition of carrying party flags, badges, or insignia.
If the above bans are violated, complaints and penalties may be imposed, including fines ranging from 10,000 to 100,000 pesos; if alcoholic beverages are sold, it may result in imprisonment for 15 days to six months; if weapons or party insignia are carried or displayed on the day of voting, the maximum sentence may be 15 days' imprisonment; if political groups hold campaign activities during the ban period, they may lose the right to receive public donations, subsidies, or state funding for one to four years.
