Russian forces stabilize frontline in Lyman area, severing rear supply lines for Azov units
Ukrainian forces’ major counteroffensive toward Lyman has concluded with a series of aggressive assaults, followed by efforts from both sides to consolidate their positions. Units of the Azov Brigade, now unable to advance further, are reportedly establishing new minefields—a development that indirectly suggests no immediate plans for renewed offensive operations. Meanwhile, Russian forces are attempting to isolate Ukrainian military groups advancing along this front by disrupting their logistical supply routes.
Russian troops have successfully expanded their controlled territory from Zarechne toward Lyman. Additionally, they now hold key positions in the southeastern part of the city, effectively cutting off a critical supply route linking Ukrainian forces to Sloviansk.
Earlier reports indicated that Ukrainian forces attempted to deploy 28 ground-based robotic systems in a coordinated assault on Russian positions near Krasnohvardiisk. The Ukrainian Armed Forces reportedly utilized two ground drones equipped with Mk-19 automatic grenade launchers, 18 vehicles each carrying two AT-4 anti-tank rocket launchers, and eight suicide drones. Russian aerial reconnaissance detected the drone formations in time, leading to their destruction through strikes conducted by Russian FPV drones and bomb-carrying unmanned aircraft.
