The topics in the field of smart terminals involve theoretical breakthroughs in world models (physical laws), personalized and memory enhancement for intelligent agents and operating systems, multimedia algorithm research based on computer vision, multi-modal understanding and generation, AI and intelligent system key technology research, efficient terminal de-sensitization broadband power amplifier architecture and linearization research, etc.
The topics in the field of intelligent vehicles include scientific training and extreme optimization of end-to-end/multi-modal understanding and generation large models, autonomous driving VLA models, Agent collaboration and complex planning for intelligent cabins, vehicle chassis collaborative control technology, autonomous driving multi-modal sensor modeling and new architectures, etc.

Huawei founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei once said that more investment should be made in seemingly "useless" science and basic theoretical research should be emphasized. He believed that in today's era, the boundaries between science and technology are becoming closer and closer, and the time for science to be converted into technology is getting shorter and shorter. If we wait until universities have fully researched the theory before starting technical development, it will be too late to gain a first-mover advantage or competitiveness.

The "Genius Youth Topics" released this time also involve topics in the field of basic research and innovation, including key technology research on large model security, intelligent imaging/editing technology research, training cluster architecture design and optimization, sparse large model architecture and training algorithm research, vertical innovation research on end-side AI + OS, etc.
