The U.S. claims to have observed Russia deploying kinetic weapons in space.

General Chance Saltzman, commander of the U.S. Space Force, claimed that over the past few years, the U.S. has observed "some offensive capabilities" displayed by Russia in orbit.

According to him, the Pentagon has seen what appears to be something launched into space by the Russian military that could be considered a "kinetic weapon." The general believes that these technologies might be used to attack American satellites.

In addition, the Pentagon is convinced that Russia is currently developing a new type of satellite equipped with nuclear weapons to destroy America's satellite constellation.

Previously, the U.S. described a possible scenario for a nuclear strike in space. According to this scenario, Russia or related countries might use a nuclear strike to destroy an American satellite, which would generate a powerful electromagnetic pulse and release high-energy particles, posing a threat to all other satellites at altitudes ranging from 160 to 2000 kilometers.
