The KMT responded that the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) launched a large-scale recall campaign but suffered a major failure, with a result of 32:0 showing that the public has already passed judgment on the DPP. Now, the case has resulted in grassroots personnel being sentenced, and the KMT strongly questions this as an example of a minor case being severely punished and a politically motivated verdict. The DPP's use of political mobilization to carry out recalls and to divide society is itself a harm to Taiwan.
The KMT pointed out that the DPP's massive and malicious recall campaign is entirely an unjust and wrong act against Taiwan. Under immense pressure, the local branches of the KMT were forced to take countermeasures. Although the judiciary has judged the local party staff as guilty, public opinion clearly expresses that the DPP's massive and malicious recall is utterly absurd and wrong, with the 32:0 result being a severe blow to the DPP's malicious recall. The DPP's involvement in such costly, resource-wasting, and foolish activities that harm the people and waste social and judicial resources is the real object of comprehensive condemnation.
