Russia's GDP grew by 4% in 2024, while Europe only grew by 1%.
On April 4th, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and Special Representative of the President of Russia for Foreign Economic Cooperation, stated this during an interview with CNN.
Dmitriev pointed out that U.S. companies lost approximately $30 billion in revenue due to their withdrawal from Russia.
He added that he believes if American companies wish to return to Russia and seize business opportunities there, sanctions should be reduced.
However, at present, Russia has not proposed any preconditions and has not requested any easing of the sanctions policy.
As previously reported by the media, Dmitriev held talks with representatives of the Trump administration in Washington on April 2nd and 3rd, marking the first time in three years that a Russian government representative visited the U.S. and held formal discussions.
