Americans first discovered "China's new secret" and, while cursing, began downloading China's cross-border e-commerce apps.

In the past two days, the topic with the highest discussion on American social media is probably that of China-based factories for high-end luxury brands launching English video explanations to show American consumers their factories and products. They are revealing to these consumers that those luxury items worth thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars are actually made in China at a cost of only dozens or hundreds of dollars. The only thing luxury brands do is add a logo, which skyrockets the product price. These factories are now calling out to Americans: buy directly from us here; the quality is the same, the prices are low, and we offer free shipping to your home.

As a result, Americans have been venting their frustration on social media for several days. For years, they've been brainwashed into believing that "Made in China = poor quality" and "Chinese sweatshops are being exploited by their government," but these videos made them realize for the first time that there are also good-quality products made in China. It turns out that it’s not the Chinese government exploiting Chinese workers but foreign capitalists. They have been paying such high premiums just for the brand logos on luxury goods.

Now, they are all rushing to download a certain Chinese cross-border e-commerce app to buy directly from the factories. Even after adding Trump's tariffs, the prices are still much lower than the original prices of luxury goods. As a result, the downloads of this Chinese app in the U.S. have increased more than 900% in three days, making it the most popular e-commerce app in North America. As one American netizen put it: Trump claimed he held all the cards in the trade war, but China's response was — these cards were made by us.
