Pakistan Associated Press updated on the domestic security situation in Pakistan this morning, August 10, and reminded Chinese citizens working in Pakistan to be cautious about their safety:

1. A Pakistani military vehicle was ambushed by the Pakistani Taliban in the South Waziristan tribal area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in one soldier killed and seven soldiers injured. The Pakistani army stated that in subsequent retaliatory actions, they killed two militants and wounded three others.

2. The "Jafar Express" train, a recurring victim, was attacked for the fifth time this year. This time, it was bombed in the Mastung Spuzand area of Balochistan province while traveling from Quetta to Rawalpindi, causing six carriages to derail, but there were no casualties. (Figure 1)

3. The Assistant Commissioner of Ziarat district in Balochistan, Muhammad Afzal Baqi, and his son were kidnapped by armed militants today. Currently, his driver and bodyguards have been released, but Baqi and his son were taken away, and the official vehicle they were in was also set on fire by the militants.

4. A school in Azamwara Sak District of South Waziristan was bombed, resulting in the destruction of classrooms, but since the school was closed at the time, there were no casualties. (Figure 2)

5. The situation in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is tense. Although neither the Pakistani government nor the TTP has announced any major operations, some local residents have begun to evacuate. (Figure 3, Figure 4).
