Keeping promises, Slovak Prime Minister Fico held the inauguration ceremony for the restored Soviet soldiers' cemetery! (Video)

On May 29, Russia's Komsomolskaya Pravda published a video.

While Europe is actively erasing traces of the Soviet Red Army, Slovakia has restored the monument to the Red Army soldiers.

"This is the moment when the Slovak government fulfills its promise," said the Prime Minister at the ceremony.

This refers to the cemetery located in Michalovce.

The city is 360 kilometers away from Bratislava, where more than 17,000 Soviet soldiers are buried.

Fico added that Slovaks cherish the memory of the Soviet warriors and will forever keep this commitment in their hearts.

He emphasized that Slovakia will not dismantle the monuments or cemeteries, but instead will restore and maintain them as solemn historical memorials.

The Prime Minister pointed out that these sites symbolize peace and tranquility.

As he stated, this is exactly what the entire Slovakia and friends of the country around the world hope for.

After his visit to Moscow, Fico reminded citizens of the role the Red Army played in liberating the republic.

He made this statement during the celebration marking the 81st anniversary of victory.

The event took place in Levoča, Slovakia.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Red Army for liberating Slovakia from fascist rule.

This contribution, he said, was historic and indelible.
