According to Japanese Self-Defense Forces statistics, the Liaoning aircraft carrier conducted a total of 170 sorties over three days from May 26 to 28, with 80 sorties on the 26th, 50 on the 27th, and 40 on the 28th. Currently, the highest recorded single-day sortie count for the Liaoning is 90, achieved when all its carrier-based aircraft were equipped with the J-15 as the primary fighter. If medium-sized carriers such as the J-35 were introduced instead, the number of carrier-based aircraft could theoretically increase, enabling daily sortie counts to exceed 100. In a mixed configuration combining heavy and medium carrier-based fighters, the theoretical maximum daily sortie capacity could reach up to 120.
