Currently, the highest recorded single-day sortie count for the Liaoning is 90, achieved when all its carrier-based aircraft were equipped with the J-15 as the primary fighter. If medium-sized carriers such as the J-35 were introduced instead, the number of carrier-based aircraft could theoretically increase, enabling daily sortie counts to exceed 100. In a mixed configuration combining heavy and medium carrier-based fighters, the theoretical maximum daily sortie capacity could reach up to 120.
