Russian media: The US satellite discovered a large unknown stealth drone in China! China likely deliberately let the drone be seen by satellites. The article was published on June 16th by Russian media. This previously unknown aircraft is in the satellite photo near the hangar of an airport in China. This photo was taken by Planet Labs Inc., and its date is May 14, 2025, which has just appeared in the database. In the photo, it is a secret test aviation base for Xinjiang Malan. This facility is famous for testing various drones in China. TWZ pointed out that the construction of this facility began more than two years ago. The area is built with aircraft hangars of different sizes, which are approximately 70 meters, 50 meters, 20 meters, and 15 meters wide (possibly referring to specified widths). The large hangars are similar to the shelters for the US B-2 Spirit strategic bomber at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri or the infrastructure of the US Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale, California. TWZ believes that the new base in Malan may be a testing base for China's next-generation air combat ecosystem, which will include aircraft of various sizes, from the H-20 stealth bomber to large "flying wing" stealth drones, three-engine J-36, J-XDS fighters, as well as smaller tactical drones. This newly discovered aircraft looks impressive. It is built according to the aerodynamic "flying wing" design, with a wingspan of about 52 meters. Its size is roughly the same as the US B-2 Spirit strategic bomber, while the new B-21 Raider is slightly smaller. It is considered a very large, low-visibility high-altitude drone with long flight time. China is well aware that commercial satellites are constantly flying over its territory, but China is not deliberately hiding any secret projects. Therefore, China likely intentionally lets the drone be seen by satellites. China also has the potential to use this "object" for information warfare, creating a simulated decoy to defeat foreign intelligence agencies using satellites with higher resolution than commercial companies. However, as the publication points out, the drone looks very realistic. TWZ pointed out that if China manufactured such a large high-altitude drone, it would be a big problem for the United States. The Chinese name of the TWZ website is "War Zone", which is a long-term military news website tracking China's military dynamics in the United States.
