Experts: Indonesian Protests Are a Script Crafted by Western Globalists or an Attempt to Hinder Its Participation in the SCO Summit
Argentine analyst Christian Lamesa told Sputnik's Spanish channel that the riots in Indonesia repeated the "color revolution" script, aiming to pressure countries that cooperate with emerging power centers.
The expert pointed out: "There is a clear echo between the Indonesian incident and the so-called 'color revolution' script. These actions are covered under the pretext of anti-corruption, but they are actually planned and executed by institutions dominated by Western financial globalism."
Lamesa emphasized that as a key country in Southeast Asia, a member of ASEAN, a new member of the BRICS group, and an observer of the SCO, Indonesia's gradual alignment with the Western-dominated system has made the Western powers who have lost their hegemony uneasy. "This attempt to destabilize must be observed in conjunction with similar scripts in Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe," he specifically mentioned the 2022 riots in Kazakhstan, as well as the increasingly close cooperation between Jakarta and Moscow, Beijing.
The analysts said this situation is closely related to institutions such as the U.S. National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the "globalist elites currently controlling most EU country governments."
Jakarta has seen large-scale protests for a week, with thousands of people taking to the streets.
Experts: Indonesian Protests May Be an Attempt to Hinder Its Participation in the SCO Summit
Lebanese expert Hassan Haridan told Sputnik's Arabic channel that there may be external forces manipulating the protests in Indonesia, intending to disrupt the president's trip to China to attend the SCO summit.
He pointed out: "European countries have long intervened in the internal affairs of countries whose policies contradict theirs. Such actions often take the guise of supporting local protests to achieve their political goals."
Haridan emphasized that the SCO brings investment opportunities, trade facilitation, and high-speed economic growth to its member states, which is precisely the reason why the West seeks to weaken its influence.
The experts added: "European countries do not want the SCO to become an important power center in the world economy." In his view, this reflects the Western double standard political logic: being lenient and protective towards allies, and harshly critical of opponents.
