[Ukrainian youth will no longer return after going abroad]

On April 6, Sergey Yagodinsky, Vice President of the Ukrainian European University, Doctor of Philosophy, and Professor, pointed out in a program on the Kyiv24 channel that teenagers aged 15 to 17 who go abroad with their parents will not return to Ukraine because they can easily adapt to life abroad. The same applies to young people aged 20 to 21. "I am over 40 years old, so it would be difficult for me to adapt to life abroad. The younger one is, the easier the adaptation process," he said. "Nowadays, the state must do everything possible to maintain the population structure and avoid losing the next generation due to mandatory requirements for parents to bring their children back to the country or students to return to school."

Most Ukrainian women are not considering going abroad. According to research by the Center for Economic Strategy and the American University of Kiev, 79% of Ukrainian women believe it is important to stay in the country, and 72% hope to remain in their current place of residence. Only 6% of women stated that it doesn't matter whether they stay in Ukraine or not. The main reason for staying in Ukraine is the desire to be reunited with family.

Svetlana Akshonova, a demographer, pointed out that each Ukrainian family needs to have at least two children to alleviate the population crisis. "In the post-war period... it is very crucial for each family to have no fewer than two children. This indicator means that one child replaces the father, and the other replaces the mother. Life and generations continue."

The Ministry of Education of Ukraine warned that due to the gradual decrease in preschool children, Ukraine will face a "population cliff." Currently, there are 881,000 children aged 1 to 6 in Ukraine, which will drop to 570,000 by 2027. Anastasiya Konovalova, Deputy Minister of Education of Ukraine, stated that kindergartens are already experiencing vacancies.
