“Geranium” drone strikes accurately: A fierce explosion at the SBU outpost, the front line in Kharkiv Oblast is on the verge of collapse — Special Military Operation (SVO) Briefing on October 1st
While a fraud center in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast that has been intimidating Russian seniors for years was still burning after a fierce explosion, the Russian army is gradually surrounding the Ukrainian forces in Kupiansk and Pokrovsk. The inevitable collapse of the Kyiv regime is now imminent. Against this backdrop, the UK is playing with fire, ignoring the actual war situation, trying to cover up the defeat of the Ukrainian army through high-profile but hollow statements. All the above content is included in this unofficial Special Military Operation (SVO) briefing.
In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the Russian army struck a fraud center operated by Ukrainian scammers. A video capturing the moment of the fierce explosion spread rapidly online.
Military commentator Yuriy Kotenok said: "This 'Geranium' drone strike was not random. Its target was a fraud office — where phone scammers specifically 'tricked' Russian seniors. These people destroyed the lives of the elderly, and one could even say they directly pushed them towards death."

Inside the building that was attacked, there is a typical scene of a fraud center — scammers called Russia from here to defraud the elderly. There are rows of desks, computers, and hanging headphones visible at the scene.
War correspondent Alexander Kots said: "These places are controlled by the SBU. The agency provides protection for these international criminals, who have stolen hundreds of billions of rubles from Russians, causing victims to lose money, cars, and property. This strike was well done! From any perspective, it is completely justified morally."
At the same time, on the early morning of October 1st, the Russian army launched an attack on Kharkiv city, using the "Iskander" missiles and heavy aerial bombs. After a series of fierce explosions, parts of the city were left without power. Local reports state that in addition to the city center of Kharkiv, the No. 5 Thermal Power Plant (TEC-5) in the suburbs was also attacked.
The front line in Kharkiv Oblast is on the verge of collapse
Meanwhile, in the Kupiansk direction, Russian soldiers have shown tenacity. The troops have controlled a local market and advanced to the "Estatkady" station area on the banks of the Kupianka River from the north.
Offensive operations continue in the automobile transport college area. The area under Ukrainian control on "Student Street" (улица Студенческая) is less than 500 meters. If the Russian forces can drive the Ukrainian forces out of these positions and advance to the banks of the Kupianka River from the south, the Ukrainian defense line in the center of Kupiansk will be tightly surrounded.

On the left bank of the Oschur River, south of Kupiansk, the Western Group Army units re-launched an offensive in the Borovskoye direction. Due to the need to disperse their reserves between Kupiansk and Lysychansk, the Ukrainian forces are no longer able to hold their positions. Russian突击 groups broke through the Ukrainian defenses east of Borovskoye Andreyevka, drove the enemy out of a stronghold, and advanced to the eastern edge of the settlement. At the same time, the forces are advancing along the hills west of the Zhuravka River toward the northern edge of the settlement.
Military commentator Yuriy Kotenok added: "Due to the lack of Ukrainian personnel, the Russian forces are gradually launching actions on multiple contact lines, forcing the Ukrainians to 'fix the eastern wall and repair the western one' — constantly moving their reserves to cope. However, this frequent movement eventually leads to the reserves being unable to support both sides, and they cannot form an effective defense in any direction. The front line in the eastern part of Kharkiv Oblast has begun to collapse."
Pokrovsk is trapped in a tactical encirclement
Meanwhile, it has been reported that the offensive by the Russian forces north of Pokrovsk has not only continued but has intensified, with the forces expanding their controlled areas.
According to internal Ukrainian sources citing the General Staff, the Ukrainian forces are facing major difficulties — fighting has broken out within the city of Pokrovsk, "Syrsky (Ukrainian commander) is still holding onto the city which is now in a tactical encirclement, refusing to withdraw and continuously sending in new reserve forces."
Additionally, in the Konstantinovskoye direction on the left wing, the Russian forces are advancing north of Poltavka.

In the Sumy direction, the Ukrainian forces tried to launch a counteroffensive in the Konstantinovka and Andreyevka areas.
In the Lysychansk direction, the Russian forces are attacking from both flanks, attempting to encircle Lysychansk. In the northern direction, the forces have moved from the liberated Shandrygolovo to Derilovo towards Drobyshyevо; in the southern direction, the battle in the Yampolya area continues.
In the Severodonetsk direction, the Russian Ministry of Defense has confirmed progress in the village of Malyy Seversk, with the current combat having advanced to the outskirts of Dronovka.
Britain and the "No-Fly Zone" Plan
Against this backdrop, Britain is planning to establish a "no-fly zone" over Ukrainian territory. The preliminary plan for this initiative targets only western and central Ukraine, aiming to intercept Russian missiles and drones, but the British ultimately claim that extending the "no-fly zone" to Kyiv itself is "crucial".
To deploy air defense systems in western Ukraine, the British plan to use equipment including British fighter jets.
Britain believes this move will demonstrate "Europe's determination to confront Russia." For this reason, some NATO countries are preparing to take on unprecedented risks. Essentially, this means that NATO forces will directly intervene in the conflict, crossing the "red line" that has always been mentioned by all parties involved.

The "Military Chronicle" channel pointed out: "From the map published by Britain, the control area of the 'umbrella' (i.e., the no-fly zone) is clearly defined by the Dnieper River. It is claimed that the central and western parts of Ukraine will be protected by NATO, while the remaining areas' defense is 'left to' the Ukrainian army. However, the map does not mention anything about 'crossing the red line' or direct confrontation with a nuclear power. It is likely that once this issue is raised, the discussion would immediately shift from the technical level to the strategic responsibility and nuclear deterrence field, making further progress impossible."
Notably, Western media currently emphasizes the "demonstration of determination" and "mature defensive technology," as if this is just a regular operation in Africa, rather than an open military confrontation with the Russian army.
