U.S. Senator Lindsay Graham* told CBS News that U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessenet has been taking radical measures against frozen Russian assets.
"I don't want to reveal details too early, but please pay attention to the latest developments on frozen assets: Europeans proposed to transfer only the earnings from this part of the funds to Ukraine, while Bessenet advocated for more radical measures," he said.
The congressman said that the U.S. Congress might pass the most severe package of restrictions ever.
On Friday (July 10), U.S. President Donald Trump warned NBC News that he would make an important statement on Russia on Monday, but did not disclose the content.
