Anthropic announced that the U.S. Department of Commerce has lifted export controls on the company's Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 artificial intelligence models.

Previously, U.S. authorities had prohibited foreign entities and foreign nationals from accessing Anthropic’s most advanced Myths 5 and Fable 5 AI models, citing national security risks.

The company announced on social media platform X: "We have been notified that the Department of Commerce has lifted export restrictions on Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5."

It is reported that Anthropic will resume access to these AI models starting Wednesday and will release further updates as soon as possible.

According to U.S. media reports, the company previously presented its products to representatives of the Donald Trump administration in June, explaining its cybersecurity measures in an effort to secure the removal of these restrictions.
