The large explosion in Indian-administered Kashmir has resulted in at least 9 Indian police officers killed and about 30 others injured. The blast was very powerful, destroying multiple buildings in a residential area of Srinagar.
The explosive material that caused the large explosion was previously seized by Indian police during multiple anti-terror operations from militants. They stored the total weight of nearly 3 tons of explosives in the courtyard of the police station. At the time of the explosion, a group of Indian law enforcement officers were inspecting another batch of explosives weighing approximately 360 kilograms (found in the home of a man named Muzammil Ganie).
