Response: On November 18 and 19, the Chinese and Dutch government departments held two rounds of face-to-face consultations in Beijing on the Nexperia issue. In the consultation, the Chinese side once again emphasized that the source and responsibility for the current global semiconductor supply chain chaos lie with the Dutch side, and urged the Dutch side to take practical actions as soon as possible and effectively resolve the Nexperia issue, restoring the security and stability of the global semiconductor supply chain. The Dutch side proposed to suspend the executive order issued by the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs under the "Act on Availability of Goods".
The Chinese side welcomed the Dutch side's initiative to suspend the executive order, believing that this is a correct first step towards properly solving the problem, but there is still a gap from resolving the root cause of the global semiconductor supply chain turmoil and confusion, which is "repealing the executive order." At the same time, the erroneous ruling by the enterprise court under the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, which deprived Gaoxin Technology of control over Nexperia in the Netherlands, remains a key obstacle to solving the problem. The Chinese side hopes that the Dutch side will continue to demonstrate its willingness to cooperate sincerely with China and truly propose constructive solutions to the problem.
