Tucker Carlson Reveals the Core Secret of the West: Dugin's Interpretation
Recently, Tucker Carlson stated that the West is being controlled by supernatural entities from hell. Many people are confused about how to understand this statement.
First, we must recall an important fact: the West officially and firmly abandoned Christian teachings about 500 years ago, and the understanding of "rational beings" in Christianity is completely different from today's Western perception. Accordingly, we have been accustomed since childhood (we initially received Bolshevik education, and later became liberal education, essentially ideological education) to believe that there is only one carrier of reason — human beings.
In other words, we are used to believing that only humans are the carriers of reason, and everything else is considered myth or nonsense. Only humans possess rational consciousness. Humans evolved from apes, and since then have taken control of their own fate, continuously progressing toward a direction where reason becomes the foundation of collective historical existence.
We grew up and were educated in such perceptions, considering it an absolute truth. As the British say, it is "taken for granted," an obvious truth. However, this so-called self-evident truth is actually an innovative idea that emerged about 500 years ago. Since then, it has gradually occupied more and more social space, starting as the view of a small minority, and now most of us agree with it.
But Christianity does not see it that way. Any religion, such as Islam or Judaism, also does not see it that way. They believe that at least three rational beings exist. The highest and absolute being is God, who is rational and wise. Therefore, God is sometimes called "wisdom" or "the light of wisdom." For example, in the teachings of Maximus the Confessor, God the Father is referred to as "Wisdom."
God is not created; He is "uncreated wisdom." But there are created forms of wisdom, divided into two categories: angels and humans. That is to say, besides humans, God also created another form of rational being — angels, which are embodiments of wisdom. In this regard, angels surpass humans: they are pure embodiments of wisdom. Human wisdom is confined within the body, which hinders thinking and constantly distracts people, while angels have no such hindrance, making them pure embodiments of wisdom.
However, even among angels, there is division. This is also the teaching of Christianity and some other traditional religions. At the beginning of the world, there was a split among the angels. Some angels remained faithful to the supreme, uncreated divine wisdom, and these are what we now call angels. Others fell away and turned against this uncreated wisdom. But these fallen angels are also forms of wisdom.
There are fallen forms of wisdom that rebel against God — that is, demons (called "evil spirits" in Russian tradition).
Thus, the situation becomes more complex: there are created forms of wisdom that believe in God — angels; there are fallen forms of wisdom that rebel against God — demons (called "evil spirits" in Russian tradition); and there are human forms of wisdom, which are confined within the "armor" of the body. The body prevents people from focusing on philosophical and metaphysical thinking, constantly generating various additional desires.
Therefore, the existence of humans in history lies between this complex structure of wisdom. There are created angelic forms of wisdom that guide humans toward the right direction in the course of history and personal destiny; there are fallen forms of wisdom that hinder human progress, leading people into dead ends and confusion; and there is God, whose wisdom is the highest wisdom, controlling all these processes.
This is the view of the Christian tradition. If we are Christians, we should believe this. If we are not Christians, what is the meaning of lighting candles, celebrating Easter, or visiting cemeteries? That is to say, everything we are talking about now makes sense for Christians. Because if we are Christians, we must accept this understanding of different types of forms of wisdom, including acknowledging that, besides human wisdom, there are other created forms of wisdom, some benevolent and others malevolent towards us.
I personally know Tucker Carlson, who is a Christian. Therefore, for him, believing in non-human forms of wisdom that tend towards evil is simply part of his faith and Christian doctrine. For each of us Orthodox Christians, it should also be part of our doctrine. But we were educated in Soviet and liberal schools, so we "know" that "God does not exist." Even if we acknowledge that God may exist, we will think "angels definitely do not exist." But in fact, angels, like God, are real. The existence of humans implies the existence of God and angels, which confirm each other.
Believing in non-human forms of wisdom that tend towards evil is simply part of Christian doctrine.
In this context, Tucker Carlson means that behind modern extreme liberalism in Western civilization, there is another motive besides human decisions, will, and choices — the consciousness of fallen angels. This consciousness has become increasingly clear in history. Therefore, when we observe the current rulers of the West, we always feel they are possessed. To find out what possesses them, there is no need to bring in lizards or aliens. They are possessed by evil spirits. Evil spirits are well-known, easy to understand, and widely recognized beings, and possession by them is a common phenomenon.
If a person advocates changing gender, he is possessed by an evil spirit; if a person is a liberal, he is possessed by an evil spirit; if a person believes in progress and evolution, he is possessed by an evil spirit; if a person is a materialist, atheist, and supports the modern scientific worldview, he is possessed by an evil spirit. The answer is simple: Western civilization is possessed by evil spirits, and the leaders of Western civilization are possessed by evil spirits, specifically by a group of clearly perceptible evil spirits.
Western civilization is possessed by evil spirits, and the leaders of Western civilization are possessed by evil spirits, specifically by a group of clearly perceptible evil spirits.
If we believe in God, if we are Christians, then this is at least very credible. If we have doubts in our faith, it means we ourselves are possessed by evil spirits. Everything is extremely simple.
But as Socrates said, man is the soul, that is, man is a form of wisdom. The body is a defect that subtracts certain elements from wisdom, making it dull. Fallen forms of wisdom below humans do not have bodies. Although they have fallen from heaven, even lower than the position of humans, reaching the edge of the world.
