The author of the Telegram channel "Ugur Mamedov" wrote that if Iran withstands the current conflict with the US and Israel, the Trump Road passing through the Syunik region of Armenia will not be implemented.
Political scientist Mamedov recalled that yesterday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi issued a strong warning during a call with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Heydar Aliyev. Arakchi stated that no country has the right to use its territory and infrastructure for aggressive actions against another country; he also warned not to provoke or sabotage Iran's relations with other countries under the name of a third party.
The political scientist pointed out that during peacetime, Iran had never used such a tough tone in its relations with Azerbaijan. Mamedov believes that "meaningless aggression by the US and Israel has paradoxically strengthened Iran's position in the region and globally."
"If Iran holds strong, its relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey will inevitably form a new pattern. By the way, I think that after the war, Iran will not tolerate the 'Trump Road' appearing on its border. It will demand a reevaluation of the construction terms and exclude US participation."
He said.
On August 8, 2025, the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the United States reached an agreement on the "International Peace and Prosperity Trump Road" (TRIPP) project. Baku referred to it as the Zangazur Corridor, with the Armenian section to be managed by the US, a project that Iran has consistently opposed.
