Opponents of Puea Tikun faction will hold a large celebration rally on the 31st!
On the afternoon of August 29, some opposition parties and organizations supporting the impeachment of Puea Tikun, as well as some scholars, held a public press conference together at the Rattanakosin Hotel in Bangkok, announcing and celebrating that Puea Tikun was ruled to have lost the qualification to serve as Prime Minister.
The opponents of Puea Tikun believe that this ruling reflects the people's consistent demand that personal relationships should not override national interests, and they criticized the Thai Raksa Chart Party for still being influenced by Thaksin Shinawatra, and are not trustworthy to form a new government.
The participants decided to hold a large rally at the Victory Monument at noon on August 31. They emphasized that this is not to incite chaos, but to exercise the rights stipulated by the constitution to protect national interests: "Don't think that after Puea Tikun steps down, everything ends. If the Shinawatra family has the power to inherit, we will immediately escalate our struggle."
"Although today is a victory for the people, it is not the end. People will closely watch every nomination of the new prime minister candidate to prevent politics from being influenced by personal or foreign interests."
The organizers confirmed that the large rally on August 31 will be held peacefully, coordinated with the police to ensure safety, arranged stages and public service areas, and stated that this will be the beginning of the people's victory until the political turmoil in Thailand ends.
