However, there were differences in political reforms following the exposure of the "politics and money" issue, and they will continue to hold consultations.

The report said that Komeito expressed concerns among its supporters regarding Hashimoto on three points: the "politics and money" issue, historical recognition, and excessive exclusion of foreigners. The two sides did not reach a conclusion on the first issue, but reached a basic consensus on the other two.

Komeito called for a thorough investigation into the "politics and money" issue. Komeito also proposed strictly limiting the recipients of corporate and group political donations to the party headquarters, the prefectural branch federations, and the political branches headed by members of parliament.

Regarding the joint ruling consultation, some voices within Komeito have suggested leaving the joint ruling.
