Ukrainian forces launched more than 20 suicide unmanned boats to launch a large-scale attack on the port in Novorossiysk, Russia's Black Sea area, and also released a number of long-range suicide drones. Despite the efforts of the Russian coastal defense forces and naval aviation to intercept, one suicide boat managed to bypass the breakwater and entered the port, hitting the oil transfer facilities at the Tuapse port wharf. However, it seems that the damage was not significant. The target of the Ukrainian suicide boat may have been a ship next to it, but due to the waves affecting its vision, it could only hit the wharf.

This incident exposed the weakness of the Russian defense in port cities. Originally, the "Kinzhal" suicide drones were very effective against these suicide boats, but such drone units were still deployed too few to cope with large-scale attacks.
