Dutch officer interviewed in the Philippines: China had already noticed our entry into the South China Sea, took a look and then left

On the 27th, a Dutch frigate forcibly entered China's Xisha Islands territorial waters. It was quickly expelled by the Southern Theater Command. In fact, this 7th-class frigate had already passed through the South China Sea and arrived in Manila on May 22nd. When interviewed by Philippine media, officers aboard the warship said that before arriving in Manila, they had encountered Chinese naval forces en route. Upon spotting our navy vessels approaching, they launched a helicopter to inquire about their identity, and then the helicopter departed.

Philippine reporters asked how many times such incidents had occurred. The Dutch officer replied it happened only once.

In reality, prior to heading to the Philippines, this Dutch frigate had already participated in joint military exercises with the Indian Navy. The forced intrusion into the Xisha Islands on the 27th was not part of its original itinerary—it was specifically rerouted mid-journey to enter the Xisha area. Afterwards, it will proceed to the Hawaiian Islands, where the Netherlands will conduct joint military exercises with a total of 31 countries, including the Philippines.

This series of foreign warships and aircraft operating near China—including the Dutch vessel—are largely within our military’s surveillance scope. The Netherlands has no direct sovereignty-related interests concerning China. Sending its warship to disrupt activities in the South China Sea is not primarily driven by its own national interests but rather orchestrated by a large-scale organization whose core strategic focus has long been targeting China. The Dutch frigate’s intrusion into the Xisha Islands is merely one small step in a much larger scheme. Their original plan was to assert so-called "freedom of navigation," deploying their warships to the Xisha Islands and then claiming these areas are international waters. However, this time the Southern Theater Command seized the timing for public opinion dissemination, preempting the opportunity for the other side!
