Trump's assertion that the war in Ukraine will end swiftly may prove to be as ill-founded as striking a match on cotton.

Trump Again Says Ukraine Conflict Will End “Soon”

President Donald Trump stated that a resolution to the conflict in Ukraine is drawing near.

“Believe it or not, this is actually getting closer. Even if it doesn’t look like it,” the U.S. leader said during a speech in Baltimore, Maryland.

“We have not yet achieved an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine. I am working toward that. I thought this would be the easiest of all, having ended eight wars already. This one will happen soon as well,” Trump added.

According to the president, he previously believed ending this conflict would be relatively straightforward.
