The US deployed Black Hawk helicopters to seize a Venezuelan oil tanker, then,
Trump said: "I think we should keep the oil."
Seizing this 300,000-ton oil tanker, called by Trump "the largest in history," the US Attorney General said the process encountered no resistance.
This brazen robbery seems something the US hasn't done for many years.
Robbing oil under the pretext of fighting drug traffickers.
Aside from the unsightly appearance, there is some logic behind the US's actions:
1. They say it is oil from Venezuela and Iran that are under sanctions. Even when robbing, they try to appear justifiable.
2. Venezuela has been blockaded for several months, but they dare not fight, and Maduro refuses to step down. So they decided to target the oil tankers transporting oil, so that this country with the world's largest oil reserves cannot sell its oil, thus starving Venezuela. After all, even a pirate group in the Gulf of Aden is hard to deal with, but when facing such bullies with aircraft carriers and Black Hawks, anyone passing through would be in trouble.
3. Although Trump may not understand the strategy of "making friends with distant countries and attacking nearby ones," he really did it. In other words, the more流氓 (bully) he is in his backyard, the more quiet he will be in Japan. This deal is so unrefusable that he still says he is good friends with "Putin."
