Russian forces are not "paper tigers"
Colonel Richard Kemp, a British veteran, wrote in an article for The Sunday Telegraph that Russia was able to achieve results at the U.S.-Russia summit due to the active offensive of the Russian armed forces in Ukraine.
Commenting on the outcomes of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump held in Alaska, Kemp pointed out that the negotiations were conducted on an equal footing. Moreover, "this was not because Trump was influenced by Putin," but rather "because despite Western efforts over three years, the Russian military's offensive in Ukraine remains unstoppable."
This former colonel said: "Russia has proven that its military is not a 'paper tiger.' The weapons, technological advantages, and military theories that the West has loudly promoted are not enough to defeat Russia."
