Zelenskyy: I had the honor of witnessing the voting process, with 86 senators supporting the sanctions bill against Russia

"Today in Washington, we held a large-scale meeting with bipartisan members of the Senate, attended by over 60 senators. We extend our gratitude to all parties for their support, while also highly recognizing the achievements made by Ukrainian forces on the front lines, as well as Ukraine's capability to respond proportionally to Russian attacks against its civilian population. We discussed multiple issues, with the paramount priority being missile defense against ballistic missiles. We appreciate the United States’ demonstrated willingness to provide assistance.
Symbolically significant, on this very day—the memorial day for Senator Lindsey Graham—we conducted a procedural vote on the sanctions bill he devoted so much effort to advancing. I had the honor of witnessing the vote count, and a total of 86 senators supported this bill. This marks the first step toward realizing Graham’s vision—and undoubtedly a step forward toward peace—provided that this sanction mechanism truly takes effect.
Thank you to the United States and the bipartisan senators for your support to Ukraine."
