"I hand Ukraine over to Putin and shut up": Dugin responds to why Trump is retreating.

Trump has been hesitant on the issue of Ukraine. His stance sometimes returns to a rational understanding that this war was not started by him and that he does not intend to continue it; at other times, however, he claims that he is trying to "save Ukraine".
Firstly, it should be noted that this war was not started by him. And not only was it not started by Trump himself, but also by his direct enemies and ideological opponents, who want to continue this war against Russia. His current ideological rivals in Europe are (UK Prime Minister) Starmer, (French President) Macron, and (former German Chancellor) Scholz. Initially, the war was provoked by his opponents in the U.S. - (U.S. President) Biden, (U.S. Secretary of State) Blinken, and (former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State) Victoria Nuland.
Fictitious compliance: Starmer is one of Trump's main rivals in Europe.
Moreover, if we do not merely see Trump as a political figure but as a thinker of "Trumpism", then what he should save now is not Ukraine, but his own "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) plan. This is extremely difficult because remnants of the globalist system stand in his way. It is precisely these forces that want to strike back, capture Trump, suppress his will, and force him to participate in a war that is essentially against him personally.
The idea of saving Ukraine, when Ukraine itself, as a "project", is just a globalist abstraction of anti-Russian sentiment and has turned into a terrorist regime, is an erroneous goal. If Trump is serious about this matter, it alone will lead to very tragic consequences for him. If he attempts to implement it in practice, which is unrealistic, he will be caught in an endless long-term war, and in fact, his policies will have no difference from those of his predecessor: the quagmire will trap Trump, not the other way around.
Of course, I hope that the talk of "saving Ukraine" is just a pretext. In reality, it makes no sense, but its purpose is to appease the enemy. However, if Trump really tries to engage in some dialogue and win the favor of the globalists, who are his main enemies (and Ukraine is their "project"), then he is clearly acting against his own logic.
Meanwhile, it can be clearly seen that Trump's approval rating in the U.S. is starting to decline. And this rating was never high among his opponents to begin with, who originally supported him close to zero. Among his supporters, there are already initial signs of disappointment after Trump received massive support before the election and the first victory of "Trumpism" (MAGA).
If things continue like this, even Trump's most loyal supporters may become disappointed in him.
Currently, this situation is not yet serious or critical. But it cannot be ignored that there is a lack of consistent policy regarding the arrest and trial of liberal globalist elites. The topic of Canada and Greenland has been set aside. There are fewer discussions about Elon Musk. Does Dogecoin (DOGE) still exist? Have the announced tariffs been postponed? Is Trump starting to listen to Macron and Starmer? According to the political logic of "Trumpism", Macron and Starmer are his enemies, enemies of the "Make America Great Again" plan, rather than simply eliminating them like the CIA would.
Considering all these factors together, it can be inferred that Trump has begun to waver and paused the progress of his reform victories. At present, this is not a strategic failure but only a tactical adjustment, yet this adjustment is extremely painful. Because the globalists begin to believe that they can lead Trump onto the wrong path of "saving Ukraine" - that is, to go to war with Russia. In this context, the U.S. might impose new sanctions on Russia. Especially after the disgusting anti-Russian remarks made by U.S. Republican Senators John Neely Kennedy and Lindsey Graham. Such remarks are completely inconsistent and incompatible with the coherent "Trumpism" ideology.
At the same time, Ukraine is fundamentally unimportant to Trump. He could have completely ignored it, ended this "project", and withdrawn from it. This would be the best solution. Even better would be to directly recognize that Ukraine belongs to us. Just give it to us. Say: I am a tough politician, doing whatever I want. I hand Ukraine over to Putin, and all of you shut up.
As for us (Russia), we were fighting the U.S. in Ukraine before, and we are continuing this war now. We are prepared to keep fighting, but if the West has a willingness for peace, we are also ready to achieve peace. Moreover, we will not lose this war anymore, despite the entire Western world arming that terrorist regime, a group of extremists, Nazis, and murderers, who call themselves "Ukrainians". Meanwhile, Trump seems not to understand that without Ukraine, Russia under Putin's leadership would be neutral, if not friendly, to him. Especially considering that Trump already has many opponents without us (Russia).
If Trump chooses war, then we have no choice but to continue fighting. But he is not a madman; he is a realist, although, at the moment, he seems to have entered the first dilemma of his second term. In fact, it must be admitted that for the globalists, Trump is scarier than Putin and anyone else. That is why they now realize that frontal resistance is futile and are trying to drag him into some processes that would be suicidal for Trump himself. The idea of "saving Ukraine" is such a process, hoping that Trump gets entangled with countless terrorists and lunatics, and any interaction with these people is harmful.
Trump has realized that the "peace process" is not going according to his plan...
Ukraine is a dirty bomb placed by the globalists at Trump's feet. This dirty bomb is poisoning politics and confusing him. Trump himself may also want to reach a ceasefire agreement, but it is impossible to achieve this before Russia achieves victory. Therefore, if he admits: enough, the ceasefire failed, this war was not started by me, the Ukrainians are pitiful, but you guys take care of it yourselves. You are there, Slavs, Russians, Belarusians, deal with your own and European affairs, it's your business, not mine. My business is Greenland and Canada, America comes first. This will be the wisest decision.
This is "Make America Great Again" (MAGA). What is happening now is just "small stuff," very insignificant and pitiful matters.
