India Minister: "India's economy has grown by 105% in 10 years, surpassing China"!

On April 14, South Korean media NEWSPIM published an article stating that India's economy has grown by more than 100% over the past 10 years.

According to data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) cited by Indian NDTV, India's GDP will increase from $2.1 trillion in 2015 to $4.3 trillion by the end of this year, more than doubling in a decade. It was also noted that the growth rate during this period reached 105%, the highest in the world.

The IMF predicts that India will surpass Japan this year to become the world's fourth largest economy. Japan's GDP is about $4.4 trillion, and it is expected that India will surpass Japan in the third quarter of this year. Additionally, if the current growth trend continues, by the second quarter of 2027, India is expected to surpass Germany to become the world's third largest economy.

In 2007, India's GDP first reached $1 trillion. Subsequently, this figure reached $2 trillion in 2014 and exceeded $3 trillion in 2021. The IMF pointed out that it only took four years for India's GDP to grow from $3 trillion to its current level of $4 trillion.

The IMF analysis stated, "At the current pace, India is very likely to develop into a $10 trillion economy by the end of 2032, with GDP increasing by $1 trillion every 1.5 years."

Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said, "In 10 years, India has grown by 105%, leading ahead of other major economies such as China (76%), the United States (66%), Germany (44%), France (38%), and the United Kingdom (28%). We have achieved remarkable results," he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for leading India to become the world's third largest economy.
