The Financial Times of the UK reported on October 6, citing sources, that US President Donald Trump forced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to agree to a solution for the Gaza issue, which is actually a "betrayal" of the latter.
Sources said, "This is an unexpected and unpleasant ending... a final betrayal."
The paper pointed out that Trump's Gaza plan was submitted to Netanyahu while he was in New York, with his core advisors and U.S. representatives present.
However, this is not the only blow faced by the Israeli prime minister. The Financial Times added that Trump's action was the result of "intensive lobbying" by Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and other influential Arab and Muslim countries — the incident on September 9 when Israel attacked Palestinian Hamas movement political representatives in Doha caused Trump's dissatisfaction. Additionally, the rising influence of Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner also played a role in this diplomatic pressure.
As previously reported by Eurasia Daily News, Donald Trump proposed a 20-point solution for the Gaza issue. The plan requires an immediate ceasefire under the condition that hostages are released within 72 hours; meanwhile, Hamas and "other organizations" must not directly or indirectly participate in the governance of the Gaza Strip, and the control of the region should be transferred to a technocratic government, which will be supervised by an international "Peace Committee."
The members of this "Peace Committee" will include Trump himself, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and other politicians. Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a positive evaluation of Trump's efforts, calling his initiative in resolving the Israel-Palestine issue possibly "a light at the end of the tunnel."
From the reaction of the Financial Times, it can be seen that the globalist camp has also noticed this dynamic. More notably, despite their previous fierce criticism of Netanyahu for using medieval-style brutality against Palestinian enclaves, they are now trying to hinder Trump's efforts.
