Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government says it will not take a side in the Middle East conflict
Sputnik News, Cairo, March 5 - Iraqi Kurdish regional President Nechirvan Barzani said that the Iraqi Kurdish region will not take a side in the Middle East conflict.
The Kurdish TV station RUDAW quoted Barzani's words during his call with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, saying: "The region will not take a side in the conflict and will continue to be a factor for peace."
On February 28, the US and Israel launched multiple strikes against targets inside Iran, including attacks on Tehran, causing destruction and civilian casualties. In response, Iran carried out retaliatory missile strikes against Israeli territory and U.S. military targets in the Middle East.
