The U.S. Ambassador to Israel suggests using B-2 bombers against Yemen

After the Houthi rebels in Yemen launched another missile attack on Israeli territory, the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Hekmati, suggested using U.S. B-2 bombers against Yemen. Previously, B-2 bombers had been used to strike Iranian nuclear facilities in June.

On Tuesday morning, the Israeli military intercepted a missile launched from Yemen.

Hekmati posted on X: "We thought the missiles coming to Israel were over, but the Houthis just launched a missile over our heads in Israel. Fortunately, Israel has an incredible interception system, allowing us to take cover and wait for the alert to be lifted. Perhaps those B-2 bombers should go to Yemen!"

Since the end of 2023, the Houthi rebels have launched hundreds of missiles and drones toward Israel to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. Israel's military operation in the Gaza Strip is still ongoing. Most of these attacks have been thwarted by missile defense systems, but there have also been cases where they have hit Israeli territory. In response, Israel has carried out several large-scale air strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, including ports, power plants, factories, and Sana'a airport.
