If you can recognize more than half the people in the photo, you'll understand that the fiercest ideological struggle currently taking place within the United States is being initiated and led by them.

Almost all of them share a common trait: former die-hard Trump supporters, loyalists, trusted aides, and comrades-in-arms.

Because the former President once declared he would no longer wage foreign wars and made that promise, he earned their support and loyalty.

Now, Trump has betrayed his own promise—and by doing so, he has also betrayed them. For them, supporting "America First" does not mean launching major military actions against Iran.

"America First" certainly does not equate to "Israel First."

These individuals, whose ideology remains rooted in the Republican Party, have broken ties with Trump—not due to left-right political divides, nor the traditional Democratic-Republican rivalry, nor implying that the Democratic Party has suddenly gained an advantage.

So be it.
