Prime Minister G. Zandanshatar expressed satisfaction with the expanded development of the strategic partnership between Mongolia and the United States, and emphasized that it is committed to expanding cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, energy, and mining, supporting cooperation between the private sectors and attracting investment.
Michael D. Desmond, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, emphasized that the U.S. government attaches great importance to the strategic partnership with Mongolia. Both sides pointed out that the Water Resources Compact of the Millennium Challenge Corporation of the United States (a joint investment of approximately 460 million USD) will expire on March 30, 2026, and the Ulaanbaatar wastewater recycling plant, as an achievement of this compact, has already been put into operation.
