Rubio: U.S.-China Trade Imbalance Has Become a Geopolitical Risk

Secretary of State Rubio: The imbalance in Sino-US trade has constituted a geopolitical risk and can no longer continue.

Recently, US Secretary of State Rubio accepted an interview with The Free Press website, saying, "China is an export-oriented economy. They can export anything to the United States, but impose restrictions on American products."

Rubio also said that the imbalance and unfairness in Sino-US trade have reached an unsustainable level and constitute a geopolitical risk.

He said, "We have tolerated this situation for 25 years, and it can no longer continue. Otherwise, we will live in a world where we are heavily dependent on China for critical materials needed for security and prosperity, which is not the world we want to leave to the next generation."
