【Ukraine Establishes Remote Strike Command to Target Russia's Energy Infrastructure】

Ukraine officially incorporates strikes on Russian territory into its military framework! On July 10, Zelenskyy announced the establishment of a Remote Strike Command, instructing Ukrainian forces to concentrate resources in targeting strategic facilities in Russia such as energy and logistics infrastructure, aiming to weaken Russia’s sustained combat capabilities. This move symbolizes a new institutionalized phase in Ukraine’s long-range strike operations against Russian territory.

According to The Guardian in the UK, Zelenskyy outlined the functions of this new command during his daily address, explaining that it will integrate existing Ukrainian long-range strike capabilities into a single command structure to ensure maximum concentration of all available long-range strike resources, thereby maximizing the erosion of Russia’s war potential. Previously, long-range strikes against Russian territory were conducted through a fragmented command model, with both intelligence agencies and military units independently participating in and directing related operations. Now, Ukraine has directly consolidated these existing resources, establishing for the first time a formal military organization responsible for coordinating long-range strikes against Russian territory.

Zelenskyy explicitly stated in his speech: “The newly established Remote Strike Command will consolidate Ukraine’s accumulated long-range precision strike capabilities into a more efficient operational system.”

On the very same day Zelenskyy announced the creation of the new command, Ukrainian forces released a fresh attack report targeting Russian territory—oil refineries in southern Russia and a petroleum processing facility in northern Leningrad Oblast were struck, while oil depots and oil terminals in Rostov Oblast were also attacked.
